We coordinate, supervise and equip secondary healthcare facilities in all 21 Local Government Areas, from general hospitals to cottage hospitals and primary health centres, so every resident can access safe, affordable and timely care.
The Adamawa State Hospital Service Management Board (ASHMB) is the government agency responsible for the administration, supervision and continuous improvement of general hospitals, cottage hospitals and secondary health facilities throughout Adamawa State. We work hand-in-hand with the State Ministry of Health to ensure every facility is adequately staffed, equipped and accountable to the communities it serves.
Every facility under the Board offers a baseline standard of care, with specialist services concentrated at designated referral centres.
Consultations, diagnosis and treatment for common illnesses at every facility.
Antenatal, safe delivery, postnatal and immunization services statewide.
24/7 accident & emergency units with ambulance dispatch support.
General and specialist surgical services at designated referral hospitals.
Pathology, imaging and screening services for accurate diagnosis.
Essential medicine supply through the state drug revolving fund.
Routine and outreach immunization campaigns across all 21 LGAs.
Counselling and psychiatric support integrated into general care.
Access hospitals and healthcare facilities across Adamawa State.
Our mandate is simple but demanding: no resident of Adamawa State should travel far or wait long to receive safe, dignified care. Every naira we invest and every facility we upgrade is measured against that promise, and we are only getting started.
